Takefusa Kubo voted into UEFA’s ‘revelation starting XI of La Liga'

The winger’s four goals and as many assists contributed to his selection among a range of talented starlets while Ante Budimir is also mentioned

Takefusa Kubo has been voted by UEFA editors into the 'revelation starting XI of La Liga' following his debut campaign in professional football.

The 19-year-old featured 35 times, scored four goals and registered as many assists in a breakout campaign where he ranked behind just Lionel Messi for dribbles completed in the division.

Listed among a host of talented individuals including Martin Odegaard, Fede Valverde, Lucas Ocampos and Ansu Fati, UEFA’s decision to include the teenager read: "The talented Japanese [player] has proven to be a different type of player, capable of overflowing [defences] which is an ability not too abundant in football today. Adding to the four goals he has scored four goals in addition to distributing as many assists, his presence in this starting XI is more than justified.”

UEFA also gave mention to Ante Budimir who finished as the eighth highest goalscorer in the league with an impressive haul of 13 goals during his debut La Liga campaign.
