Sissoko : “Right now, the only thing to think about is survival.”

Abdoul Sissoko chatted with the press after this morning’s training session, and on behalf of the group, pointed out that each remaining game “is a final,” so you have to work hard and be prepared to deal with these types of games, “the only thing to think about is survival. And we have to secure that as soon as possible.”

The midfielder re-assured that the team is preparing for the important game against Albacete, “We know what we have to do” and denied that the team is under too much pressure to get results, “we are a tight-knit group and know that we have to stay focused for the coming games. We are in a tight and difficult situation, but we must keep our heads up and get results.”

For the player, the game on Sunday “is key, but not determinate” because in his opinion, even if the team gets three points, the season is not yet finished, “we have to win three or four more, to be sure.” He also emphasized that at this point in the season, it is more important to work mentally than physically, “it is difficult to play in this sort of situation but now you have to show up, and you have to go out and play with excitement to get those three points.”

Finally, he denied that the team is going to drop, “now you don’t have to talk about the Segunda B [division], because we are going to stay,” and explained that on a personal level, he is “eager” to play, and said that the key is to “go out and play in Albacete without nerves.”
