We are delighted to announce Sergio Rico has joined the club on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the remainder of the season.
The goalkeeper joins the club having previously represented Sevilla FC, Fulham and his parent club, and has over 150 appearances at senior level, in addition to having represented Spain’s national side.
The 28-year-old has got straight to work with his new team-mates and has been registered in accordance with LaLiga regulations.
"I thank the club for having trusted me to help the club until the end of the season,” he told club media. “Everyone has welcomed me wonderfully and I am eager to start helping the team and to achieve the common goal of staying up.
"I am a goalkeeper who tries to transmit calmness to the team from defence. I hope to be able to help as much as possible so that we are solid at the back and get points – that is the most important thing.”
