Samu Costa, Aguirre, Darder and Gio evaluate the 0-0 draw against Real Sociedad

Find out what the boss and our players had to say about the semi final

Samu Costa, Javier Aguirre, Sergi Darder and Gio discussed our goalless draw with Real Sociedad in the semi final of the Copa del Rey. Find out what the four had to say below:

Samu Costa

"It was a good match against a difficult opponent. We knew we were going to have moments without the ball, but this team is prepared to suffer. We're in a semi final, but we want more."

"Anyone could have scored. Abdón had a chance and so did Sadiq Umar for them. That happens in football, there are always chances. We played a good game and we have to be humble."

"It's still open. We are working hard for this. We want to make history. For this we have to keep working with humility."

Javier Aguirre

"In the first half we were good and in the second they were far superior. Despite that, we had a chance and the tie is open. I know we are not favourites and we are going to suffer, but we have our hopes intact.”

"My experience tells me that the tie is not over today, whatever the result. We are going to go in alive and to fight."

Sergi Darder

"Our first half was very good. In the second half, it's true that they had a couple of chances where they created danger for us, but that's normal, you can't go 90 minutes against a team like this in the cup semifinals without conceding any chances."

"I think it was a fair draw and that was the objective to come out alive in the second leg. Obviously, we wanted a more favourable result, but the clean sheet was very important."

Gio González

"They are going to press in their stadium, with their fans. They have a very intense team with a lot of quality in all their lines. They did very well during big moments of the match and I think that collectively speaking, we didn't do as well as we did at home."

"The tie is open. There are 90 minutes left and if there is something that characterises us, it is the fight."
