The Santi Miralles side scored a point on Day 1 of the season after a 1-1 draw to Zaragoza.
The game started with a clear domination by the home side but visitors grew as minutes lapsed. Both outfits had chances to make it 1-0 but it was in the 34th minute that Real Mallorca had a sweet moment. Pablo Avila took advantage from a counter-attack by Navalon to break the deadlock at Son Bibiloni. After the break, Mallorca had a very clear chance to make it 2-0, but did not manage to overcome the goalkeeper Sanesteban.
The second half began with the same domination by RCDM but again progressively Zaragoza got into the game but without causing major havoc across the defense. The match did not seem to change up until the 89th minute when a penalty was whistled, a heavily protested one for the visitors' that Baselga converted.
The game did not offer much more and thus Honour Division Mallorca gets a points ahead of next week's trip to Santo Domingo Juventud.
