RCD Mallorca DH made it two wins from two courtesy of Víctor Lázaro’s 31st minute strike during a 1-0 victory against CD Ebro at Ciutat Esportiva Antonio Asensio.
We started the stronger side by controlling much of possession and putting together some clever moves in the final third, although it was the visitors who had the first chance of the game when David Melendo hit the bar against the run of play following a quick counter.
Lázaro provided an instant response with the game’s only goal in the 31st minute when he managed to turn in the box and beat the opposing goalkeeper with a well-placed shot.
We headed into the break with a slender lead and looked to build on an impressive first-half display.
The second half followed the same rhythm as the opening 45 minutes as we controlled possession and looked to break down a resolute visiting defence.
Melendo would give us a late scare, but we remained firmly in the driving seat to secure all three points and a second consecutive victory.
