First-half goals from Elías Chentouf and Javier Albín in a 2-0 win over UD Collerense ensured our unbeaten run of 17 games continues.
Having had our previous fixture postponed due to COVID-19 infections, our first game of 2022 got off to a good start when Miguel Martín sped past his marker and teed up Chentouf to put us in front in the 18th minute.
We doubled our advantage in the 35th minute as Javier Albín marked his 50th appearance for RCD Mallorca B by reacting first to a loose ball in the box to fire home.
We headed into the break two goals to the good and in the ascendency.
Ibra came closest to adding a third with an incredible individual effort in the 57th minute, but his strike was not meant to be as the ball crashed against the post.
The final whistle went with the scoreline at 2-0 as we increased our lead at the top of the table.
