Match Report: RCD Mallorca B 1-1 CD Manacor

Ibra levels in injury time to help us secure a point and remain top of the table

Ibra’s injury-time leveller rescued a late point in a 1-1 draw with CD Manacor as we remained top of the league.

There was little to separate the two sides throughout the first half as chances were few and far between during the opening exchanges.

While we were able to put the pressure on the visitors, our hard work didn’t convert into goalscoring opportunities.

Rodri and Nofre caused us a few problems on the counter attack but they were unable to trouble Pere Joan as we headed into the break level.

We looked a different side after the restart as Llabrés and Jaume Tovar had early chances to put us ahead.

Our good start to the second half slowed as time went on and we were punished for a lapse in concentration as Tià Sastre put the visitors ahead with a minute left on the clock when he managed to connect with Ginard’s cross.

We didn’t let our heads drop after the setback and provided an instant response courtesy of a Ibra’s quick reactions in the box in the 94th minute to cue pandemonium among the home support.
