Match Report: RCD Mallorca B 0-0 C.F Platges de Calvia

The young Bermellones were held to a goalless draw at the Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio

RCD Mallorca were held to a tightly-contested goalless draw against C.F Platges de Calvia at the Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio.

With chances few and far between from the first whistle, it took until the 22nd minute for Enric Martínez to have our first attempt at goal with a free-kick deflected inches wide of the post.

The visitors had a goal ruled out moments later to the relief of Leo Roman following an in-swinging corner, although with both sides limited to nothing more than half chances, we headed into the break level.

The second half read from the same script as the previous, although one of the best chances of the game fell to Luka Romero moments after the restart as a quick counter ended with the teenager firing over the bar.

A frustrating afternoon in front of goal ended with the opposition’s Daniel Bardolet receiving his second yellow card in the 90th minute, but it was too little too late for us to take capitalise of the numerical advantage.
