Our first pre-season fixture ahead of the upcoming LaLiga campaign got off to a winning start as we beat Wieczysta de Polonia 3-0 courtesy of goals from Ángel Rodríguez, Lago Junior and Dani Rodríguez.
With a number of substitutions made throughout the fixture in order to give as many minutes to the travelling squad as possible, our first showing of the summer gave boss Javier Aguirre plenty to be happy about.
We could not have wished for a better start as Ángel Rodríguez gave us the lead in the 13th minute with an acrobatic volley.
Despite being the stronger side and having plenty of sight at goal, we headed into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Lago Junior doubled our lead after the restart when he combined with Dani Rodríguez and make no mistake with a composed finish.
Dani Rodríguez went from provider to goalscorer to add a third and final goal to ensure our first pre-season fixture ended in style.
Our next game will be against the national side of Qatar on Tuesday, July 19 at 1800 CET.
