Match Report: RCD Mallorca 2-2 Mainz 05

Amath and Vedat Muriqi were on target as Mainz 05 came from behind twice to ensure a 2-2 draw in our mid-season friendly at Ciudad Deportiva Antonio Asensio. 

We got off to a dream start as Amath robbed possession from the visitors and race through on goal to give us the lead.

Aymen Barkok levelled matters in the 19^th minute from the penalty spot after Antonio Raíllo had fouled Leandro Barreiro in the box.

Muriqi restored our advantage before the break with the game’s second spot kick to ensure we headed into the dressing room with the lead.

It did not take the visitors long to get back into the game after the restart as Danny Da Costa struck in the 52^nd minute after both sides had made a number of changes at half-time.

We had a flurry of late chances to grab a late winner, but it was not meant to be as the referee blew for a full time with the scoreline at 2-2.
