This afternoon at Son Bibiloni the regional final of the FA Cup has take place in its first leg. Mallorca B has defeated Penya Esportiva Santa Eulalia by 2-0 comfortably. Our academy team has controlled the game from start to end but it was not until the second half that the goals came round. The first by Alberto, an U18 player who won just his second cap in the academy team managed by Olaizola. The second goal has shown in the score through a strike by Angel Sanchez who has proved his accuracy once again. Today Baba and One have been restablished in the starting XI after injury.
The bad news came with the injury by Miquel Angel Nadal. The centreback has left the pitch with ankle and knee pain. For the time being, tomorrow there is a scan to determine the length of the player in the sidelines.
This afternoon Olaizola has left many regular league starters out of the selected XI to give them some rest and focus on the important part of the season, in particular in the game versus Gava. Keeping up with both competitions can be very demanding. Players resume training tomorrow.
The second leg of this tie will be played on Wednesday in Ibiza.
