Match report: At Levante UD 1 - RCD Mallorca B 2

Mallorca B has finally gained their first three points of the season in an all-round game full of quality. Olaizola's men beat the other Academy team of the division, a very similar side by 2-1.

Under a scorching sun, the little Red team came out to the pitch at the Buñol Training Complex with a good attitude and in the 10th minute they scored the first goal. Fernando Cano, one of the stars of the Academy, after a brilliant set-up by Rodado, did not squander a great chance and volleyed home.

Despite Mallorca B's clear domination, a minor error allowed the home side to make the score level in the 16th minute with a Son strike.

The brave strategy drawn by Olaizola allowed that the Majorcan controlled possession and enjoyed the best chances.

The second half started as positive as the first half and in the 48th minute Alex Serrano made it 2-1 after a James' assist from the wing.

With a favourable score and a home side more concerned with defending, Mallorca took advantage of the spaces presented to initiate counter-attacks. The defensive performance and the great saves by Jaume Valens were crucial for keeping the score away, like that impossible one in the 67th minute.

Finally, the team knew how to attack and how to defend well and tha is why the three points are checked in for the flight back to Palma. Sensations were good, as good was the quality shown - these are reasons for fans to believe in this squad. After two matchdays as visitors, on Sunday at 16:15, Mallorca B plays again at home against Cornella.
