“I am very happy to have achieved the objective as this season is historic. For the resolute defending and number of players involved. Today everyone has been committed - the whole staff and entire island has been with us. I hope we can enjoy it with the fans.
"We’re the only team that has kept up with RCD Espanyol all year. Away from home we’re still the best team and at home we have very good results. It is true that we have four or five players who are essential, but after that there is a great deal of balance in the squad. There are people who have played less because of the level of others.
"We have been up there for a long time. It's not easy. Yesterday all the tension was released. We’re looking forward to getting back to Mallorca and enjoying it with the fans. I think it’s important to celebrate a season like this one.
"I’m delighted to be here. After five years away I wanted a stable project - I was very excited. I’m very proud to be the coach of this team, and now the good things begin. We’re a club that if we do a good job, like this year, we can establish the team in LaLiga. It won't be easy, but that's my ambition and my desire.”
