Luis García Plaza: 'Today’s win was vital’

The boss reflected on our victory over Albacete BP in his post-match press conference

Luis García Plaza couldn’t hide his delight at his post-match press conference as we recorded a 1-0 victory over Albacete BP courtesy of Amath Ndiaye’s second-half strike and a late missed penalty on behalf of the hosts. Find out what the boss had to say about our third consecutive victory, the performance and the team:

On our run of form...
"It's a vital victory - very important - but today we weren't as sharp as other games. We struggled with that last pass, that last situation.”

On the penalty...
"The penalty is anecdotal, we also missed a penalty in the first leg at home against Albacete. If we had scored, we would have won the first leg and today it would have been a draw. It's something anecdotal, sometimes we score, sometimes we miss.”

On the performance...
“These are three important points. They played very well with 10 men, we have to congratulate them. It's true that we had the chance to score the second, but we weren't very good.”

On his side...
"We’re a team that goes out to win in any field and in any situation, the team's ambition is the word that defines it the most - even on days when we are not so good. What we're missing from this great season is our fans in the stadium.”
