We’re delighted to announce Luis García Plaza has joined the club as our new first-team manager having signed a contract which will run until June 2022.
The former centre back arrives with over 15 years of experience in management at the highest level with Levante UD, Getafe CF and Villarreal CF among his former clubs in Spain.
It was at the former of the trio Plaza secured the club’s return to the Primera División before joining Getafe CF where he spent the following three seasons. A later and brief stint in charge of el Submarino Amarillo would follow, although the new boss arrives at the Visit Mallorca Estadi having most recently coached abroad at United Arab Emirates side Baniyas CF, Chinese Super League outfit Beijing Renhe and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Shabab Club.
