LaLiga Genuine Returns

La Fundación Reial Mallorca recorded three consecutive wins in their return to action

La Fundación Reial Mallorca marked their return to LaLiga Geniune action after 620 days without competition with three wins from three in Tarragona.

Having had the pandemic cut short the 19/20 season, the 36 competing teams – in addition to six new clubs competing from next season – were in attendance ahead of the start of a new campaign.

RCD Mallorca participated with 16 players and four members of the technical staff and kickstarted their weekend of fixtures with a 3-0 victory over UD Almería.

Marcelo Scazziota's side then overcame CD Leganés and Girona FC 2-1 which left them just falling short to Rayo Vallecano for the Sportsmanship title.

The other champions were Athletic Club, who finished first in the Fair Play category and Córdoba in the Compañerismo group.

With a hat-trick of wins on the back of a productive weekend, there’s plenty of reason to be optimistic ahead of the new season which will start in the coming months.

The new season will start in the coming months with the excitement of the first day for all Mallorquinistas.
