Lago Junior says he can’t wait to get back in front of our fans ahead of our hosting of Real Betis on Saturday evening.
We will be welcoming our fans back to the Visit Mallorca Estadi for the first time this season following our stadium redevelopment, and our winger says he is excited for supporters to see the work which has been completed.
"The truth is that it has been beautiful,” he told journalists. “There are still some things to be done, but we are going to enjoy a lot because we will see the fans much closer, we will feel the atmosphere and that in the end pushes you and gives you much more energy.
"I'm sure they will welcome me back because they have always given me their affection. I feel at home and if we get the three points on Saturday, all the better as we'll all be happy.
"Betis is a very difficult opponent, but it will be a nice game and we will try to get the three points".
Having been held to a goalless draw against Athletic Bilbao on our first game of the season, Lago Junior shared his thoughts on the stalemate.
"It was a good point against a very complicated rival,” he continued. “They are a team with players of great quality. We did a good defensive job, we came back happy with the point.
“Now we have to get points at home against Betis who are a very complicated opponent.”
