Koke Vegas had a night to remember as he made his debut in our 2-2 draw against SD Ponferradina on the final game of our promotion season. Abdón Prats and Marc Cardona scored on our behalf, although a late Curro Sánchez saw us just miss out on being crowned Segunda División champions. Find out what the shot stopper had to say below:
On his debut...
"I’m very happy making my debut with Mallorca. There are many things to be proud of this season. We had the incentive of being able to win the league and knowing that Espanyol lost... it’s a bit annoying.”
On the team and the penalty...
"The DNA of this team has been to fight and sacrifice until the last minute and the attitude has been irreproachable throughout the year. We were in control of the game, even when the penalty kick came, but we managed to tie and come back and in the end we were left with that taste in our mouths. I sensed the penalty, I touched the ball, but the ball was very tight. It was a shame [not to win].”
