Ki Sung-Yueng joins RCD Mallorca on a free transfer

The South Korean will reinforce Vicente Moreno's midfield on a deal which will last until the end of the campaign

Ki Sung-Yueng has signed for RCD Mallorca on a contract that will run until the 30th of June 2020.

The midfielder arrives at the club as a free transfer from Newcastle United after a year and a half with the Premier League side, having previously featured 186 times and scoring 15 goals in the division for Swansea City, Sunderland and the Magpies. In addition to his experience in England, the 31-year-old represented Celtic on 66 occasions where he won a league title and played Champions League football.

Regarded as one of the country’s finest-ever players, Ki registered 113 caps and 10 goals for South Korea before his retirement from international football during a period where he won bronze at the London Olympics in 2012 and was voted Player of the Year three times.
