Kang-In Lee: ‘We can achieve great results’

The midfielder spoke to a South Korean TV channel about his experience in Mallorca so far

Kang-In Lee is loving life in Mallorca.

The midfielder has impressed at the Visit Mallorca Estadi having joined the club on a free transfer from Valencia in the summer, and with the club now unbeaten in four games, the South Korean international is keen to see the side maintain their momentum.

"The decision to come to Mallorca was a choice I placed a lot of importance on and that I had to make with my family,” he told SPOTV. “Taking into account Mallorca's style of play and my qualities, I thought I could bring a lot to the team.

“With the experience I had during my time in LaLiga, I was confident that I could become a good player. I came to Mallorca because the club really wanted me, although other clubs were also interested.

"My goal and that of the team is to be as high up the table as possible. The team has just been promoted. The way we are training, we can achieve great results. Our performance is improving and when some injured players return, our level and results will improve.

"Mallorca is a very peaceful place and Palma is a nice city to live in. I get along very well with my teammates and I'm enjoying new experiences."

Kang-In Lee also shared his thoughts on manager Luis García Plaza and was pleased there was a familiar face in Take Kubo upon his arrival to the island.

"Luis García communicates a lot with the players,” he continued. “I often talk to him and he helps me. The coach expects us to be aggressive, precise and complete good passes, and to help create or score goals.

"I have competed against Take Kubo since I was very young, even before we became teammates," he added. "He is a great player and now that I train with him, he is just as I expected him to be.

“He is very skilled, both one-on-one and shooting, he excels in everything. He is injured now but when he comes back I know we will be able to help each other.”
