Javier Aguirre has stressed the importance of three points ahead of facing a “complicated” Real Sociedad on Wednesday evening.
Having had a difficult run against sides such as Barcelona and Sevilla since the international break, Aguirre is keen to see us return to winning ways.
"It's a very complicated outing,” Aguirre told media at a press conference. “It's a team that is very fit and plays very good football. They have been with Imanol for several years and he has done a wonderful job.
“He is a homegrown coach, who has known the players since they were young. He identifies himself as a fan and that's how he approaches things. It is a team that is doing things very well.
"I want to see us as a balanced team that has chances on goal and I hope they are as clear as those we have created in the last few games. We need to be more accurate in front of goal. I want a team that is good with the ball, that continues to grow.
"In the end, the team cannot afford to be pessimistic. There are still seven or eight teams below us. The league is long, we are not even a quarter of the way through the tournament, so there is no room for regrets. It was a tough and unfair defeat against Sevilla, but we must look ahead. We have this match tomorrow and we are very excited.”
