Javier Aguirre: I feel a great deal of happiness

The boss reflected on our 3-1 win against Getafe

Javier Aguirre was on post-match media duties after we took another step towards safety with a 3-1 win against Getafe. Kang-In Lee’s brace and a goal from Antonio Raíllo was enough to secure all three points. Find out what he had to say below:

Javier Aguirre

"I am very happy. They were superior in the first half. I don't think we could find the formula to break them down. We had to take a step forward, especially with our people, and in the end, it worked out. We didn't have many chances to score either, but the few we had, we converted.

"The people are happy, it's true. I see a lot of children in the stadium and I am very pleased. Antonio is our captain and he had a very sore finger, and we have to congratulate him. They all did very well. To mention just one would be unfair because they were all good.

"Beating the drop is not tangible, there are 24 points still to play for and anything can happen. We will keep fighting, I guarantee it.”
