Javier Aguirre: “Everyone did their job”

The boss spoke to the media after our 6-0 win against CD Autol

Javier Aguirre was on post-match press conference duties after our 6-0 win at CD Autol in the Copa del Rey. Goals from Ángel Rodríguez, Abdón Prats, Clement Grenier and Tino Kadewere saw us overcome the home side and secure our place in the next round of the tournament. Find out what the boss had to say below:

On the match

"The match was very serious on our part. We never did anything foolish or anything exaggerated to make us feel superior. I think the best way to respect the opponent is to play as seriously as possible, and we did that. The work, in general, of everyone was good. It is true that some have less minutes than others, but everyone feels important. The final result is the least important thing. I was happy with the way we performed. I think everyone did their job.”

On his memories of Pamplona

"I was there four years in Pamplona and we came a lot through Autol and Calahorra. They are really pre-season camps. For me, they were great matches during the festivities in these places. I had a great time.”

On Tino Kadewere

"I’m happy because he didn't have a good time and finally, we were able to enjoy a little bit. I was surprised by his speed in training as he had not shown me that virtue. It is true that he was signed for that. He had different characteristics to Abdón, Muriqi or Ángel. You can see that he is confident. The injury he had is not easy. I liked him tonight.”
