Ion Ansotegui, a 33 year old Vizcaya native, is an experienced centerback and a new member of the RCD Mallorca squad for the 2016/17 season.
Ansotegui is known for being in outstanding physical condition that allows him to play tough defense in the air and on the ground. Offensively, he is remembered around Spain for wielding a strong shot, of which he has used for more than a decade in the Primera and Segunda divisions, with Real Sociedad (San Sebastian) and Eibar.
