Íñigo Ruiz de Galarreta: ‘Three consecutive victories in the Segunda División is very difficult’

The midfielder spoke to the press at a pre-match conference ahead of our clash with CD Mirandés

Íñigo Ruiz de Galarreta believes our run of good form in the Segunda División is no mean feat ahead of our trip to CD Mirandés this Sunday.

Having made his debut in the 2-0 win over CD Tenerife and then contributing to a 1-0 victory at CD Lugo, the midfielder is keen to register further minutes and help the side record a fourth consecutive domestic win at the Estadio Municipal de Anduva

“I’m came here very excited and motivated," he told journalists at a remote press conference. "I work every day to the maximum to get more minutes every time. I’ve found myself liking this club a lot.

“The team knows how to suffer and see out results. We have now got three back-to-back wins and that’s not easy to do in this division. We’re expecting a very difficult game at Anduva because they have started the season very well and are very intense. We’re going to have to have a game which is very complete.”

As the player with the most Segunda División experience in the squad having featured over 200 times in the competition, Galarreta hopes to be able to have a positive impact in the dressing room.

“I’ve played quite a few times in the Segunda División, but there are also players in the squad which have played a lot in La Liga," he continued. "I try to give it everything to support the team the best I can on and off the pitch.”
