Enzo Lombardo returns to full first-team training after cruciate ligament injury

The winger was joined by new signings Marc Cardona and Amath Ndiaye at Son Bibiloni for preparations ahead of our clash at CD Lugo

Enzo Lombardo has returned to full senior training for the first time after almost four months out recovering from a cruciate ligament injury ahead of our clash with CD Lugo on Monday evening.

The winger suffered the setback during his loan spell at Racing Santander last season where he featured 31 times and scored three goals. Lombardo will continue to step up his fitness with the senior side as part of a phased recovery having undergone surgery earlier on in the year.

Having also suffered a similar injury to the 23-year-old, Álex López is also on the road to recovery having underwent two separate knee surgeries over the past year during a loan spell at UD Extremadura.

Joining the pair at Son Bibiloni were new signings Amath Ndiaye and Marc Cardona for their first training session as RCD Mallorca players. Having passed necessary protocol and health checks following their transfer deadline day signings, the pair will be looking to hit the ground running ahead of a hectic October fixture schedule.
