We are pleased to announce the signing of Omar Mascarell following a transfer agreement with Elche CF.
The midfielder has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the club having spent the last two seasons for Los Franjiverdes, in addition to Bundesliga experience with Eintracht Frankfurt and Schalke 04.
"I was really looking forward to coming here,” said Mascarel. “Arriving on an island is always special for me. It is a very exciting project. I'm looking forward to starting on the right foot and above all to perform at a good level to help and do my bit.
“I'm looking forward to starting with the team, getting to know my teammates, the coach and the technical staff. We need to move in the same direction that everyone wants to go in so that it will be an exciting year, that it will be good, and that we will achieve great things.
"Last season was spectacular. I think RCD Mallorca took a step forward and everyone saw it. I think the project is very good, not only at a sporting level, but with respect to everything that encompasses the club.”
