Dani Rodríguez, Manolo Reina and Amath Ndiaye reflect on beating Girona FC

The protagonists of the victory shared their thoughts on the victory at the Visit Mallorca Estadi

Dani Rodríguez, Manolo Reina and Amath Ndiaye couldn’t hide their delight as we overcame Girona FC 1-0 with a dramatic added time goal. A fine piece of play and pass from Dani Rodríguez teed up Ndiaye in the 92nd minute to secure our first victory at the Visit Mallorca Estadi this year. Find out what the trio had to say below:

On the game...

Manolo Reina: “Today was a very important game and the team knew that We have fought until the end. The important thing is that the teams gets points and believes. Here at home we like to win – we have gone several games without having done that. We like to win this way a lot.”

Dani Rodríguez: “I have had various counterattacks during the match, and in the last one, I managed to get everything right. Amath's finish and run was perfect. You have to believe, work hard and in the end the result will come.”

Amath Ndiaye: “"It was a very important victory and I’m happy to score again. Dani put together a great piece of play. I'm happy for the work and effort from the team. We are already thinking about the next game.”

On the save and the goal...

Manolo Reina: "I reacted to Sylla's piece of play. I touched it with my shoulder and then we managed to score and get the three points.”

Dani Rodríguez: "It was important to win today for that mental aspect due to all the matches we have left. Away we were putting together crazy numbers, but at home we were lacking. Today, against a great rival, we were able to get the three points. Now we have to think about Albacete, which won't be easy".

Amath Ndiaye: "I got a goal and a big hit on the lip from a collision with Stuani. I'm very happy because the wind didn't help. In the second half it was hard for us, but we kept trying and in the end we got the three points.”
