Aleksandar Trajkovski: ‘I will give everything to help reach our goals’

The winger reflected upon our start to the season, unbeaten form and fixture calendar

Aleksandar Trajkovski says dressing room harmony and hard work have been key to our unbeaten run of eight games.

Ending a hectic October fixture schedule with three games in the space of a week, the winger believes he can continue to contribute to our campaign objectives having been handed his first start of the season against AD Alcorcón on Matchday 8.

“Honestly, I was just happy to get back out onto the pitch in the first XI,” he told club media. “My goals for this season are the same as everyone’s: to get back to where we belong. I will do my best and give everything I have to help the team to reach our goals and get back into La Liga. That’s where we belong. I think we have a big chance. We have a very good team, a good atmosphere and a good team spirit. If we continue like this, I think we will be there for sure.

“From the beginning when Luis García Plaza came in, he just put his ideas to us, we tried to follow those ideas and then do it on the pitch. It was really clear, but we have to go for our goal and objective. As of now, we’ve been doing well and we’ve started the season well. We’re there at the top and we do everything which he tells us. We work hard and that’s the most important thing: team spirit.”

Consecutive victories over the previous two matchdays has seen us end the month on a positive note despite the gruelling fixture calendar, although our winger believes such form speaks for the strength of depth the squad has.

“I’m telling you, even if I have to play at right back, I will play there to help the team,” he continued. “When we have weeks like this, where we play three or four times in a week, it’s important to have a big squad. I think that makes it easier for the manager. All players have quality and he can rotate the team.”
