Abdón Prats, Dani Rodríguez and Brian Oliván analyse our 3-1 defeat to Rayo Vallecano

The trio spoke to club media after a frustrating night in Vallecas

Abdón Prats, Dani Rodríguez and Brian Oliván spoke to the media after our 3-1 defeat to Rayo Vallecano. Find out what the trio had to say about the result, the performance and what now awaits us below:

On the match…

Abdón Prats: "We've been working hard all week, but in 20 minutes we lost. We knew that this was a complicated pitch and now we have to analyse the game and continue. Last year it went our way in the 20th minute and this year it was their turn."

Dani Rodríguez: "They got the better of us. They beat us in intensity. This has to help us to know that if we lose that we won't be able to do it [what we want to achieve]. We had competed against all the teams based on fight and commitment and today it wasn't like that.”

Brian Oliván: "Today we weren't the team that had made it this far. That team that wins second balls, puts in that intensity... we paid for our mistakes. We knew where we were coming from and we had to match or beat them to get something positive. We have to think again and be self-critical.”

On the goal and what's to come…

Abdón Prats: "Scoring is always positive. I scored my first goal in LaLiga and I'm very happy about it. This pitch is special and I want to score more goals in this division. In five days we have another game and we have to prepare for it with enthusiasm. We have to believe in ourselves to keep fighting for our objective.”

Dani Rodríguez: "We must not see ghosts where there aren't any and I'm looking forward to playing and making amends. This match will help us to face the games to come. If we are the RCD Mallorca we are every day, we will be able to compete against everyone. I'm very happy for Abdón [after his goal]. I hope it's the first of many.”

Brian Oliván: "There is no time for regrets. On Saturday we have another final and we have to keep going. We have to take it one game at a time and try to play the best game we can.”
